3 San Francisco Toy Stores for Your Child’s Enjoyment

Jeffrey’s Toys

Starting with a family-owned store that offers plenty of toys and even more stories. Jeffery’s Toy Store was founded in 1938 by a young couple named Birdie and Morton. Established initially as a five-and-dime variety store, Jeffery’s is still recognized today as the oldest toy store in San Francisco. Because of the baby boom experienced across the country, Birdie’s Variety Store became Birdie’s Toy Store just after 1953. It was renamed after Birdie’s grandson to Jeffery’s Toy Store in 1966. Today, Jeffery’s continues to offer a variety of toys, games, and comics that create memories that will last a lifetime. You’ll find Jeffery’s Toy Store on 45 Kearny Street. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.
