Roaring Camp Railroads

Roaring Camp Railroads is such a unique experience. You will feel like you are taken to an entirely different world. From the Redwood Forest Steam Train to the Santa Cruz Beach Train, where you go is totally up to you! There are two different trails that will take you through the ancient redwood forest. One tour lasting 75 minutes and one lasting 3 hours. You will pass through and see city streets, the giant redwoods, and you can even swing by to the boardwalk for some carnival games! The train station has the most unique set up from the 1880’s. It features a little town with a general store, and some of the best home-cooked food around. Mount Hermon Adventures

At Mount Hermon Adventures they will get you in touch with your adventurous side. You will get a real outdoor experience that the entire family will enjoy! Wilder Ranch State Park

Wilder Ranch State Park spans across 7,000 acres, and was originally a dairy ranch in the late 1800’s. After all that exploring, you can bring food for a picnic on the lawn or visit all the farm animals. There is 35 miles of cleared trail, so grab your hiking boots, and you can venture into the mountains or view the stunning coastal bluffs. There is also a bike path and the opportunity to go horseback riding! The possibilities at Wilder Ranch State Park are endless. This is such a great way to spend the day with your kids in Santa Cruz!
